Tickhill Town Council are looking to recruit a Pavilion Manager
As Pavilion manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the operation of the Town Councilís pavilion situated at Tithes Lane, Tickhill. The Pavilion Manager will be an employee of the Tickhill Town Council but will report directly to the Town Clerk, who will be the direct line manager, on all day to day matters. The post covers all aspects of the management of the pavilion from being the first point of contact for customers to ensuring that the building is adequately maintained.
The Pavilion Manager will be expected to operate flexibly as required by the exigencies of the post but the core hours will be 11 hours per week on Scale LC2 at the equivalent of £23,166 per annum which equates to £12.04 per hour
As Pavilion Manager you will be able to:

JOB† DESCRIPTION FOR THE PAVILION MANAGER
The Pavilion manager is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the Town Councilís pavilion situated at Tithes Lane, Tickhill. The Pavilion Manager is an employee of the Tickhill Town Council but will report directly to the Town Clerk, who is the direct line manager, on all day to day matters. The post covers all aspects of the management of the pavilion from being the first point of contact for customers to ensuring that the building is adequately maintained.
PERSONNEL: Supervision and management of the pavilion caretakers including the recording and maintenance of holiday records, time sheets, job rotas and general supervision and discipline. There is also a need to arrange cover for any caretakerís holidays and sickness. This cover can, if necessary, be provided by the Manager and paid at the caretakerís rate of pay. If cover by the caretakers in house cannot be arranged the manager is expected to be available at caretaker rates of pay.
The Manager must be aware of Health & Safety regulations, along with employment laws such as Equality Laws and Maternity rights. The Manager must also have knowledge of the disciplinary and grievance procedures and be able to deal effectively with complaints
CONSUMABLES: Manage stock levels and order supplies for the Pavilion including cleaning products light bulbs etc. Ensure that stocks of products are kept in a secure manner and any excessive use be drawn to the attention of staff and/or hirers
FINANCE: Ensure that the pavilion operates within the budget that will be agreed with the Pavilion Manager at the start of the financial year, and is set down by the Town Council and Responsible Financial Officer.
This includes the promoting of the Pavilionís facilities in order to maximise its use by hirers.
The Manager will raise invoices for the casual use of the pavilion and collect payment.
The Manager will provide details of monthly usage by regular hires to the Responsible Financial Officer enabling accurate invoices to be raised. The Manager will oversee the issuing of these invoices and if necessary pursue late payments.†
The Manager must also liaise with regular users such as football, tennis and bowls clubs on day to day use of the facilities
MAINTENANCE: The Manager will negotiate terms and conditions for alarm systems and gas electricity and telephones, ensure that contractors carry out any routine or emergency repairs and maintenance effectively and have faults repaired/rectified by approved contractors. The Manager must be capable of carrying out minor maintenance and repairs
Ensure that contract cleaners carry out their duties to the correct standard of quality
CUSTOMERS/HIRERS: The Manager will be responsible for maintaining an accurate diary of hirers and update the diary in line with any changes. The Manager must ensure that all hirers have the correct level of insurance, hold music licences (if appropriate) and, as a ďduty of careĒ ensure that all hirers operating under a professional body have adequate training /professional qualifications
OTHER DUTIES: The Manager must ensure that all use of the pavilion is carried out within H&S and other legislation.
HOURS OF WORK AND RENUMERATION
The Pavilion Manager will be expected to operate flexibly as required by the exigencies of the post but the core hours will be 11 hours per week on Scale LC2 at the equivalent of £23,166 which equates to £12.04 per hour
Space/provision in the Pavilion will be made available for the Manager to carry out the clerical tasks but in the first instance the manager will be expected to use their own computer and printing facilities but the RFO will provide the ink and paper
